Feeding the Community

First Presbyterian opens its doors to anyone who has need through our food pantry.

First Presbyterian provides a food pantry two days each month on the second and fourth Tuesdays at the church between 1:00-2:00 PM. The pantry is open to ANYONE in the Wausau area that has the need for it. Those who participate are asked to provide their name, address, phone number, photo ID and the number of persons who will benefit from the food, although names of persons who use the pantry are never shared with any other agency and are kept completely confidential.

Each participant is provided with two bags of nonperishable groceries such as cereal, canned goods, and boxed meals. Often, frozen meats, produce, or other foods are available. Funds to operate the food pantry are provided by church members and pantry friends, with assistance from the Marathon County Hunger Coalition and Feeding America.
