Feeding the Community

First Presbyterian opens its doors to anyone who has need through our food pantry.

First Presbyterian Church provides a food pantry two days each month on the second and fourth Tuesdays at the church between 1:00-2:00 PM. At this time the Pantry is being operated in a drive by fashion at the North entryway.

The pantry is open to ANYONE in the Wausau area that has the need for it. Those who participate are asked to provide their name, address, phone number, and the number of persons who will benefit from the food. Names of persons who use the Pantry are never shared with any other agency and are kept completely confidential.

Each participant is provided with two bags of nonperishable groceries such as cereal, canned goods, and boxed meals. Frozen meats, produce, and other foods are available. Funds to operate the food pantry are provided by church members and pantry friends, with assistance from the Marathon County Hunger Coalition, Peyton’s Promise, and Feeding America
